Flare is from Rio's first litter.  She is co-owned and lives with Pam Casselman.  She's the perfect girl with the best qualities from her mom, Rio, and from her dad, Cymbrogi REM.  You will be able to catch a glimpse of this girl at Agility, Flyball, Dog Sledding, Obedience, Tracking and  Disc Dog.

 

FBI Flyball Tournament - May 2005

 Flare has been attending flyball tournaments as a spectator since 3 months of age.  She currently competes on the Burnin' Rubber "A" team.  She was an integral part of Burnin' Rubber becoming the NAFA Region 2 Champions in both 2006 and 2007.  Flare also received the Ottawa Valley Border Collie Flyball Achievement award for most NAFA flyball points in the 2006 racing season.  Flare earned her ONYX Award in 2007.
 

Flare made her agility debut in style qualifying in 3 out of her four runs and hasn't looked back since.  Flare has wonderful work ethic and a huge desire to please which makes her a joy to train and run with on the agility field.  Her blazing speed is sometimes challenging, but we wouldn't want it any other way!

Flare has been training in agility with a friend of ours, Lynne.  Together they've come a very long way as a team.  Lynne & Flare have competed at the 2008 & 2009 Regionals together as well as at the 2009 AAC Nationals.

 

Burnin' Rubber Disc Dog Trial - August 2005

Flare is a wonderful Frisbee dog who has  fantastic disc catching style and tremendous speed.  Flare earned her Advanced Disc Dog title in the summer of 2006 and her Disc Dog Champion title in 2007.

 
She's  such a pretty girl that the folks from Browntrout Calendars invited her for a photo shoot for their  calendars!  Check out Miss October in the 2007 issue.

Flare stands about 20" tall and is around 35lbs.

Flare has followed in her mother's footsteps and is proven to be a fantastic sled dog with amazing stamina and drive.  Flare loves to be in the front leading the team!
