Zephyr is also learning how to track and is enjoying the work.  In the late Fall of 2009, she did her first tracking test and finished it in five minutes flat!

Like Chill, Zephyr never ever fails to make me smile.  She has a huge zest for life and its truly infectious!  Whenever given the choice, Z will always choose to run full out just because she can!  In the house, when she's not locating tennis balls, she's very relaxed and has an excellent off switch.

When Zeph comes to visit, she easily fits into our household and can usually be found hanging out with Kyra!

Our red girl is very athletic and powerful.  She can go zero to sixty in the blink of an eye!  She has an extremely natural jumping style.  She is a very thoughtful jumper but that doesn't seem to slow her down!  

Zephyr has matured into a gorgeous girl.  She stands around 19" and is about 30lbs.  She is nicely balanced in her front and rear and is medium boned.  Zephyr is not white factored.

Her pedigree is a nice mixture of well known performance dogs and successful herding dogs.

Zephyr has found a great love for sledding and skijoring.  She now screams her little head off as soon as she's hooked up (I think we may blame this on her 'Auntie' Piper and Uncle Fly (Flare x REM)).

In the photo on the right, she and her half brother Glaze (Flare x Jagger) are just coming in from their very first sled outing.  Both kids ran like pros and I have to admit I forgot that they'd never even run with a team before!

In her second season of sledding, Zephyr is now leading the team.  She had to be moved to the front because she kept outrunning any dog in front of her.  She's truly the Energizer Bunny!
